Pearls that create change! 

With Love Darling works with BeadWORKS to create opportunities for pastoral women in northern Kenya to turn their traditional skills into much-needed income. By fostering peaceful partnerships, we are dedicated to conserving natural resources and wildlife through self-managed, community-owned nature reserves and sustainable, social and ethical business.

BeadWORKS not only empowers women, but  also helps diversify rural family incomes – income that would otherwise come from livestock farming, charcoal burning and other unsustainable means. Many of our artisans are former charcoal vendors – an industry that is destroying the last  remaining forest areas in northern Kenya.

Production

My goal with the Global Goal collection is twofold: First, we want to spread the message about the Global Goals so that they are adopted and implemented, and second, we want to put production where it makes a difference. There are currently 400 million people in the 'handicraft sector' who do not have access to formal education, but who know a craft that provides them with an income. These are the people we want to work with.

We have personally visited all of our workshops and therefore know for sure that the working conditions and wages are decent, that the production is environmentally friendly and that the metals are recycled.

We are proud that our production makes a difference, and continue to look for workshops around the world where we can contribute to a better future.
