Wonder Women: We're Inspired By Greta Thunberg
We're inspired by the extraordinary work that 16-year-old Greta Thunberg has done this past week. This Swedish environmental activist started in 2018 by holding a protest against climate change outside Swedish parliament.
Believing that our current government systems are failing future generations against the threat of global warming, Greta recently took part in the Global Climate Strike in New York City.
"Yesterday millions of people across the globe marched and demanded real climate action, especially young people. We showed that we are united and we young people are unstoppable," Thunberg said at the first of its kind Youth Climate Summit. She demanded that the government listen to the scientists about the upcoming dangers of climate change, and that action is taken as soon as possible.
