What We're Watching: Jessica Jones

Looking for a new TV show to binge? Lately we've been loving Jessica Jones, a Netflix series that already has two seasons out.

Based off the graphic novel, the show follows Jessica, a headstrong woman with superhuman abilities. After a failed and traumatic attempt at becoming a super heroine, Jessica works as a hard-hitting private investigator. But when her dark past comes back to haunt her, she must confront her trauma head-on to move forward with her life. The show can be quite dark at times, but it's thrilling to see such complex female characters in a noir-genre show.

The show is a fantastic showcase for women, as it's a primarily female cast, with female show runners, writers and directors. Check it out on Netflix now!
