What We're Listening To: Lana Del Rey's "Happiness Is A Butterfly"

Happiness is a butterfly
Try to catch it, like, every night
It escapes from my hands into moonlight
Every day is a lullaby
Hum it on the phone, like, every night

It can be difficult making the move from summer to fall. While some dread the winter blues that may be coming soon, others dive back into school, new jobs, moving or any other big change in your former laidback summer schedule. Add to the mix the constant news cycle that can seem a little scary now, it's understandable if you're not feeling your very best. It's times like these where we need to hold on to our happy moments wherever we can. Cherish everything!

Lana Del Rey's new song "Happiness Is A Butterfly" is about cherishing these moments. It's inspired by American novelist Nathaniel Hawthorne, who said “Happiness is a butterfly, which when pursued, is always just beyond your grasp, but which, if you will sit down quietly, may alight upon you.”

So, what makes you happy? And how can you ensure to hold it close? Sometimes, the answer is easier than we think. Sometimes, just being there, present in the moment, realizing that you have this moment of happiness, is more than enough.
