What To Watch: My Octopus Teacher

Have you met our Fish Charm? It's inspired by the 14th Global Goal: Life Below Water, that works to protect our fishy friends that live under the sea. Fish are also symbols of luck, purification, and healing.

Sometimes it's tough to help others understand the value of our earth's oceans. As it states on the Global Goals website; Healthy oceans and seas are essential to our existence. They cover 70 percent of our planet and we rely on them for food, energy and water. The new Netflix documentary, My Octopus Teacher, may help you see how incredible our underwater friends can be.

My Octopus Teacher follows filmmaker Craig Foster as he bonds with a small octopus living in a kelp forest in Cape Town, South Africa. Dealing with depression and exhaustion, Foster began studying the octopus as it evaded its many predators and showed great intelligence. Soon, the octopus shows an equal interest in Foster, and an incredible bond forms between the species.

Stories like this show how important are oceans should be to us, and why we need to fight for their future. Check out the trailer below!
