Song of the Day: Dido's "Hurricanes"

Changes are coming. January 2019 is just over a month away, which feels crazy to me. I'll be making some big moves, and the faraway future doesn't seem so far away anymore. 

Making changes in your life is hard. There's no way around it. The comforting feeling of familiarity is always nice to sink in to and forget about your troubles, but the desire for something new can always linger in the back of your mind. I remember hearing a quote that goes something like this: if we don't change, we don't grow. And if we don't grow, we aren't really living.

I've been listening to Dido's (remember her?) new comeback single, "Hurricanes" a lot lately. It's a song that's kinda vague, but seems to detail the singer preparing for a big storm (maybe literally, probably figuratively) on the horizon. Will it cause destruction all around her? Or bring forth a new dawn of possibilities? Either way, she's ready for the upcoming "sound and fury".
