Wednesday Women: Reese Witherspoon

Reese has been a major girl crush of ours since she charmed her way into our hearts as Elle Woods in Legally Blonde. The crush grew to full-on love, when she depicted June Carter in Walk the Line. And in Big Little Lies, she was just nutty enough to make us feel good about our own imperfect selves.

But the main reason she's such a hero to us: She's championing several Global GoalsGoals Gender Equality (Goal 5) and Reduced Inequality (Goal10).

She lifts up other women! Reese is not afraid of sharing her light with others, to give them a chance to shine on their own. Her Production Company Hello Sunshine, puts women at the center of every story they create, celebrate and discover. They tell stories They love–from big to small, funny to complex – all shining a light on where women are now and helping them chart a new path forward.

Her book-club have connected many talented writers with an audience. (On that note, did anyone read The Guest List, by Lucy Foley? So Good!)

Her call to action on BLM (she personally supports Minnesota Freedom Fund, Color of Change and Campaign Zero), as well as her support for frontline workers during the pandemic (she supports Fronlinefoods.org), has helped inform and educate many.

Thanks for inspiring us, Reese!
