Our Favourite Movies And TV From This Summer
As summer winds down, we're looking back on our favourite things from the past few months! Having summer movie nights with friends and family are some of my fondest memories (especially if you're lucky to have a drive-in near you!). Here's our flick picks from the WLD team!
The Farewell
A bittersweet comedy about letting go of the ones you love. Billi's family returns to China under the guise of a fake wedding to stealthily say goodbye to their beloved matriarch -- the only person that doesn't know she only has a few weeks to live.
Glow (Season 3)
One of my favourite shows on Netflix. Season 3 follows the ladies of GLOW (gorgeous ladies of wrestling) as they take the Vegas strip by storm. Now headliners at the Fan-Tan Hotel and Casino, the women quickly realize Sin City is much more grind than glitter.
Late Night
A late-night talk show host's world is turned upside down when she hires her first and only female staff writer. Originally intended to smooth over diversity concerns, her decision brings about unexpectedly hilarious consequences as the two women who are separated by culture and generation become united by their love of a biting punchline.
Fosse/Verdon
A dramatic television show for those with a love for musical theatre, spanning five decades, "Fosse/Verdon" explores the singular romantic and creative partnership between Bob Fosse and Gwen Verdon.
